These terms outline the general basis on which Poonam Shah Interiors, run by Poonam Shah ("I", "me", "my"), provides interior design and related services. They apply alongside any individual project proposal, which will set out the specific scope, deliverables, timeline and fees agreed with you ("you", "the client") for your project. Where anything in a signed proposal differs from these general terms, the proposal takes precedence.
I offer Initial Consultations, 3D Visuals, Full Interior Design, Project Management, Interior Styling and Bespoke Artwork commissions, either individually or as part of a wider project. The exact services included in your project, along with fees and an indicative timeline, will always be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Following an initial consultation, I'll send a written proposal setting out the scope of work, fees and an indicative timeline. A project begins once you've confirmed acceptance of the proposal and any deposit requested has been received.
Fees are set out in your individual proposal. A deposit is typically required to secure your project slot and begin work, with the balance invoiced according to the schedule agreed in your proposal. Invoices are payable within the timeframe stated on the invoice; I reserve the right to pause work on a project where payment is significantly overdue.
Where furniture, fixtures or trade services are sourced on your behalf, any associated costs will be communicated in advance and are payable by you directly, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Design timelines depend on receiving your feedback promptly at each stage. Unless otherwise agreed, I ask that feedback on concepts, boards and visuals is provided within five working days of being shared with you, so that your project can progress as planned. Delayed feedback may affect the overall project timeline.
Each stage of the design process includes an agreed number of revision rounds, as set out in your proposal. Additional revisions beyond this may be chargeable at my standard rate, which I'll always confirm with you before proceeding.
Should you need to cancel a project, please let me know in writing as soon as possible. Deposits and fees for work already completed are non-refundable, reflecting the time and resources committed to your project up to that point.
Design concepts, drawings, 3D visuals and other creative work I produce remain my intellectual property until your project is paid in full, at which point you are granted a licence to use them for the purposes of your own project. My design work may not be reproduced, published or used for any other purpose without my prior written consent.
I love sharing my work — with your permission, I may feature photographs or visuals from your project in my portfolio, on my website and on social media.
I take great care in the advice and services I provide. I am not responsible for the performance of third-party contractors, suppliers or tradespeople engaged on your project, though I will always aim to recommend trusted partners and support you throughout. Indicative renders and visuals are provided as a guide to the intended design and may vary slightly from the finished result.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Terms agreed within a specific project proposal will continue to apply to that project as originally agreed.
